| Descripion | Night Agency is looking for an inspired, motivated and grounded developer to join our team. Night is a young award winning digital agency in Soho focused on doing cool stuff on the internet and beyond. Some of our clients include Keds, Hanes and Champion to name a few. Requirements * At least 3-5 years experience developing software applications in a commercial or institutional environment; agency experience is a plus * Application performance tuning and debugging * Experience with 3rd party vendor integrations * PHP5 development with a focus on re-usability and portability; CakePHP experience is a huge plus * Object Oriented Programming / Design * Writing and consuming web services (XML, JSON) with PHP and Javascript/jQuery * XHTML, AJAX and secure coding techniques * Work with: PHP5, Javascript, MySQL, HTML, CSS, jQuery, Ubuntu Linux, Social Networking APIs ( Facebook, Twitter, Etc) Qualities * Passionate and excited about technology, web scale architecture, web 2.0, social, mobile applications and content management systems * Enjoys working with the latest technologies, 3rd party applications, and social networking apps and wants to push the edge of web development * Believes the best applications can be developed inexpensively and have yet to be developed * Ability to drive projects through to completion on time/on budget, with or without supervision * Can communicate technical difficulties in a productive manner * Clear and useful code documentation * Aptitude for learning new technologies and adapting to changes in process or requirements * Can be part of or lead a collaborative team with excellent communication skills, creativity, and innovative thinking * Comfortable presenting complex technical ideas and business topics to team members and clients * Self starter/motivator; ownership and pride in your own work If this is you, we’d love to meet you.
